Margaret Hair is the director of marketing and communications at the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare.
She leads marketing and communications projects related to student recruitment, alumni relations and fundraising. She also reports progress on the school's strategic plan.
Before joining the School of Social Welfare, Hair was director of external affairs for the KU School of Law. She previously worked in communications and marketing for the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and the KU Memorial Unions. Her background is in journalism, including time as a newspaper reporter. She teaches media writing at KU's journalism school.
Hair earned a master's degree in marketing communications from the University of Kansas and a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
