It's all about community

During the day, HighEdWeb Annual Conference attendees focus on working, learning and building digital futures. In the evening, we talk, laugh and build great HighEdWeb connections that last all year.

Welcome reception

Sunday, Sept. 22 from 6-8:30 p.m.

Join us in Albuquerque’s Civic Plaza for a welcome reception to kick off the HighEdWeb 2024 Annual Conference! The plaza is the largest public space in the center of downtown, acting as a front porch for the Albuquerque Civic Center.

Civic Plaza is within walking distance of the conference hotels, so head over and enjoy snacks and beverages in a casual atmosphere as you connect with old friends and new faces. Average temperatures for Albuquerque in September range between 78 to 54°F, so you may want to bring a light jacket for the walk back. Don’t miss this chance to spend some time with the best community around.

Dinner with friends

Dinner is on your own for Monday, but you don't have to dine alone. The Board of Directors welcomes you to join their dinner groups. Stop by the HighEdWeb booth in the expo hall to sign up.

Big Social event

Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 6-9 p.m

After sessions wrap up on Tuesday, hop on a shuttle from one of the conference hotels to our Big Social Event at Sawmill Market, an artisanal food hall located in a historic lumber warehouse in the Sawmill District.

Sawmill Market celebrates culinary traditions and emerging trends alike with a diverse mix of local food vendors, full-service restaurants and unique retail experiences. Every attendee will receive a $20 voucher to spend at any vendor within the market, then mingle with HighEdWeb attendees on The Yard, an outdoor dining and play space.
