Description

Content governance at scale is hard. We often have to work with content editors and subject matter experts with wildly varying skill sets, abilities and focuses, while at the same time engaging a wide variety of audiences with time and money to spend in many other places.

Trying to manage this organized chaos in a decentralized structure requires a careful balance of cultivating relationships, improving skills and abilities, and building an interconnected level of support between everyone involved. Enter the stage manager.

When done properly, managing a production behind-the-scenes is never noticed by the audience — it's a seamless choreography of planning, staging and on-the-spot thinking to allow a cast and crew to perform at their best. And, if they don't, supporting them enough that the result is just as good. In this presentation, we will discuss 10 lessons we can learn from the teamwork and trust of theater to deliver.
