Central Piedmont Community College’s mission is to provide an excellent education and globally competitive training, but what happens when our students struggle to find how our programs align with careers on our website? In this presentation, learn more about the Digital Strategy team’s journey to improve the Career Fields section of our site. Explore how we: - converted detractors who thought we couldn't do this in our current content management system into champions; - gathered all of the content we needed; - kept our primary stakeholders engaged; - maintained our focus on what our students need instead of how requiring them to conform to how the college is structured; - learned and refined our processes throughout this project. Discover how aligning the career fields to the online application has helped decrease the number of students who apply to a program they did not intend to enroll in. Additionally, find out how applying project management principles to section overhauls has inspired confidence among leaders and other important stakeholders. Attendees will walk away with practical insights from Central Piedmont’s project and ideas that are applicable to similar projects at your institution.
