Being so close to our own content and the reason behind decisions prevents us from critically analyzing our creations. This session will help identify strategies to anchor the experience of our web presence as your visitors do.

A prospective student's experience of your site is anchored to other experiences and we’ll use the multiple-tab environment to create the same effect. Starting with a program of interest, searching, and ending up on ten institutional homepages to compare the experience of first impressions, information discovery, attention, and next steps.

Visitors notice more than the information and calls to action throughout their journey. Consistency, page speed, and ease of access play a critical non-visual impression.
