We're so excited to learn and share together! Here is everything you need to know to get the most out of HighEdWeb 2024 Michigan Regional Conference.
Pre-conference social event
Please join us Wednesday night before the conference for a welcome reception. We'll gather from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Founders Brewery’s Centennial Room. This social event is included with your registration.
Connect with colleagues, share insights and celebrate achievements amidst one of Grand Rapids’ largest breweries. Special thanks to our event sponsor Beacon.
When you arrive
All conference sessions are at the L.V. Eberhard Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Learn more about our location and venue.
Parking
Conference attendees may park for free in the GVSU Fulton Lot at 312 Fulton St W. Follow these driving directions to the lot.
If you're staying at the Courtyard Grand Rapids Downtown, use The Blue Bridge to walk across the river to the center. It's quicker and easier than driving.
Check-in and registration
Your first step at HighEdWeb Michigan should be the registration desk in the L.V. Eberhard Convention Center. Check in to grab your conference badge and the important info you need.
Registration opens at 7:45 a.m. on the second floor of the center.
The conference day
Experience a full day of learning and networking.
Sessions and keynote
We'll start the day together at 8:30 a.m. at conference welcome.
The conference offers two tracks throughout the day. You're welcome to move between the rooms to attend sessions that most interest you.
Lunch is provided for all attendees. During that time, Keynote Lija Hogan will share strategic and tactical recommendations that you can use to improve your approach to accessibility across campus.
Finally, we'll end the day together at 4:15 p.m. for closing remarks and prize giveaways.
Sponsors exhibits
Please make sure to connect with our amazing sponsors. They support higher education and offer products and services to help advance your school. They'd love to chat with you.
Session evaluations
After each session, please submit a session evaluation. Completing those for the sessions you attend helps the presenters and planning team continue to improve. Thank you in advance for sharing your feedback.
And you earn entries into our prize drawing each time you complete a session evaluation.
Clothing and attire
Conference attire is business casual – with a strong emphasis on the “casual.” Jeans, tees, khakis and comfy kicks are common, too, both during the conference sessions and at evening events. Remember, session rooms can be chilly, so you may want to throw in a sweater for daytime wear.
Photos
We'll be crowdsourcing photos to help remember the experience. Please upload your photos throughout the event.
