Description

Acquiring new software and services is a constant cycle in a university setting, but acquiring inaccessible software or services does not have to be one of the struggles to face after procuring your technology. To avoid purchasing inaccessibile software or services, VPATs and ACRs (Accessibility Conformance Reports) can be one tool that can help us make better decisions about what we are purchasing.

Receiving an ACR/VPAT is just the one step in the procurement process, but knowing how to interpret those documents, ask follow-up questions and learn how to read the documents to catch errors and mistruths is critical to ensure that you do not get sold software that truly is not accessible.

Join me as we take a dive deep into VPATs and ACRs to help make your university's mission a success through the acquisition and procurement of new university technology!
