Trisha Whiteman

Trisha uses she/her pronouns, identifies as part of the disability community, and is an experienced information professional, educator, and accessibility specialist who cares deeply about access, equity, and learning. Whiteman joined Rice University in 2022 as the Digital Information Accessibility Coordinator, and prior to Rice, she was at Southern New Hampshire University as a librarian and faculty member for eight years. Before SNHU, Whiteman worked at Nova Southeastern University as a research and teaching librarian. She has been working with accessibility since 2016, is IAAP CPACC certified, and is an active researcher, presenter, and accessibility/disability advocate.
