Description

Because every Higher Ed social media property has a different focus and audience, the recipe for gaining and engaging followers can be as elusive as the golden snitch. In this presentation, I’ll share what I’ve learned in the 18 months I’ve been running @MichiganDining’s Instagram and Twitter accounts. The goal of the presentation is to provide fresh ideas and new approaches that will hopefully spark new strategies and ideas. The presentation will include tips on building your audience, engaging one-on-one with followers, examples of turning social media exchanges into live events, tips for hiring students, ways to create community online and one way to create a social media monthly report for people who are too busy to follow social media.
