Biography

Lisa Vasquez is an accredited public relations practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in communication for higher education, chambers of commerce, healthcare, media and the nonprofit sector. She is the vice president of advancement for Collin College, where she has served for 21 years. As a member of the college’s Leadership Team, she led public relations and marketing for the college for 14 years including a rebrand, domain change, web portal implementation and countless marketing and media relations initiatives. She now heads the Collin College Foundation and alumni program and serves as an adjunct professor of public relations. Vasquez holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism/public relations from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in strategic communication and innovation from Texas Tech University. She currently serves as the immediate past president of the Dallas Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and as the incoming chair of the CASE Center for Community College Advancement Advisory Council.
