Description

Cloud-based technical infrastructure can optimize enrollment management operations and communications. At Georgia Tech, cloud adoption has been motivated by a need to fill the gaps between enterprise systems and connect the dots between on-premise and cloud-based resources. This session explores how Azure supports essential tasks like curriculum governance, document collection, academic calendar management and transfer credit evaluation. Systems that support critical operations leverage Azure Functions for APIs and automation, Azure CDNs for content delivery on the edge, and Azure SQL database and CosmosDB for low-hassle, high-security data management. Using Azure DevOps for repository management and deployment pipelines is key when developing many data-driven web applications for various tech stacks.
