In higher ed, Marketing and Admissions are often at odds because there's confusion. There's confusion for prospective students when marketing runs a brand awareness campaign with a specific tone and visuals while enrollment (through a partner) utilizes a different approach. This inconsistency wastes resources and weakens the message. There's so much overlap in their day-to-day. So how do we fix this? By making efforts to work together for the sake of consistency, efficiency, and results. We break this down in our blog, "Breaking Down Silos: Marketing and Enrollment Working as One Team". Check out the link in the comments. #enrollmentmarketing #higheredmarketing #highered

Can design play a role in flipping the script for your institution? We absolutely believe it can— and it's one of the most rewarding challenges to transform the outside perceptions of our clients. Check out our latest blog on how strategic and thoughtful design, these perceptions can be reshaped, empowering institutions to present themselves in new and powerful ways. #highered #higheredmarketing #graphicdesign https://lnkd.in/eNEfurbq

Your institution needs something totally unique to "plant your flag" in. While it may appear daunting and carries some inherent risk, the venture will always be worth pursuing. Certainly, there's a possibility of facing setbacks, but the potential gains far outweigh the perceived losses. Embracing the distinct qualities of your institution attracts individuals who align with your mission and become lifelong advocates. Envision a thriving community grounded in shared values, not just superficially claimed or hoped for but authentically lived out by each member. Picture a legacy that extends beyond academic achievements, permeating the very essence of every individual associated with your institution. By capitalizing on what sets you apart, you pave the way for a future where every success story speaks volumes about your institution's ingenuity and commitment to excellence. No need to overly emphasize terms like "innovation" and "excellence" in your communications; your outcomes will speak for themselves. So what are some unique things your institution can plant your flag in? Here's some small steps you can take to begin to uncover those things: - Discover 5 new facts about your school’s history - Compile a list of skills your students acquire (that they could only get from your institution) - Engage in meaningful, one-on-one conversations with 20 students - ask them why they came to this school, what questions did they have, give them space to share their story with you - Identify a weakness in your institution and begin writing out ways it can be something positive #highereducation #higheredmarketing #brandstrategy

It's official. Our friends over at Hardin-Simmons University have already increased in YOY applications and admits since the launch of their new brand. With new billboards and local commercial spots, they let us know they've been feeling a renewed sense of pride and joy on campus since the launch. This is why we do what we do. It's not about a number increase for the sake of numbers. It's about a number increase of your right-fit student... the ones who reflect your mission, vision, and values and will continue to carry those things with them throughout their life. And it's about remembering why you started and reigniting your passion for your institution. We're so grateful for our partnership and for all the hard work that was put into making this project immensely successful! This team has truly embraced the Cowboy spirit! We are Cowboys. Read all about this process in our case study, linked in the comments. #highereducation #higheredmarketing #highereducationmarketing

Our team has experienced significant growth, expanding from 14 members to nearly 200 since our aquisition with GMB. Last month, we had the invaluable opportunity to meet our entire team in person for a two-day period at GMB University—a quarterly assembly where we collectively share our company's goals and vision. We are immensely appreciative of the warm reception extended to us by our new colleagues as we gathered in Grand Rapids, MI, where we were greeted by blankets of snow and unparalleled hospitality. This year, our focus remains steadfast on the objective of "Many Teams, One Vision," serving as a driving force as we continue our integration into the GMB team.

Our whole company joined together for an in-person GMB University session where we introduced this year’s goal for "Many Teams, One Vision." At GMB, we commit to working together, being a team, and sharing a vision for the future. GMBU was a great opportunity to connect with one another, celebrate growth, and learn together. We look forward to growing with our team in 2024 in service of our just cause!

What does it really mean to "own who you are" in higher ed? Back in November, our talented teammates, Allison Lanier and Elliot Lollis lead a captivating conversation on this topic at AMA for higher education that broke down the basics of what this really means and ways that you can start implementing practices into your day to day. You can read the recap in our blog [link in the comments]. #higheredmarketing #highered #highereducation

We can't play it safe anymore when it comes to Enrollment Marketing. While academia will always be at the core of our EM efforts, we must go so much deeper. Students want to be part of a community that cares about the their individual journey, their dreams, and their success. And we believe it all starts with bridging the gap between Marketing and Enrollment. Check out our blog (link in the comments) to learn more about how we're ensuring our Enrollment Marketing efforts are standing apart and above. #enrollmentmarketing #higheredmarketing #highered

Who won the costume contest!? Put your votes in the comments: 1. Taylor Swift (mind you she had a new costume for different eras and changed about 4 time thought the day) 2. The scary doctor (went all out in the blood makeup, his costumes never dissappint) 3. Regina George’s mom (not any mom, a cool mom) 4. Business Barbie (all pink and means business) 5. Kim Possible (call her, beep her if you want to reach her) 6. Nepoleon Dynomite (she actually had tots on her pockets) 7. Ricky Bobby (shake and bake baby) 8. Ginger Spice (she told us what she wants what she really, really wants) 9. Darth Vader (he is a father, but not Luke’s and that is an authentic costume) Winner gets to take Adam Landrum’s parking spot for one day 😆 P.s. our office manager, Kelly, the real MVP, was Wayne from Wayne’s World and is unfortunately not pictured as she is the mom who takes all the photos but is never in them. We love you Kelly!
