Description

On the resource-scarce stage of higher education, user experience (UX) design is a commodity that some college web teams can't seem to crack, much less afford. But don't let your lack of staff or resources stop your team from plugging into the power of UX, whether you do web or not. After all, UX is much more than screens and interfaces-- it's a mindset. In this session, we'll demystify UX and unlock six effective powerups that have helped the Dallas College web team gain valuable experience since we formed two years ago. They are: 1) defining the problem 2) research and testing 3) trusting in teamwork 4) cross-functionally collaborating 5) iterating prototypes and 6) reporting out to bosses and stakeholders. Equip these powerups for yourself and start your team on a quest to becoming next-level, high-scoring UX champions!
