'Can YOU help Miami prove we're more cybers ecure than Ohio University?'
\n\nCyberMania is a campus-wide campaig n asking students\, faculty and staff to answer a five-question quiz about cybersecurity best practices. Throughout the month of October (National C ybersecurity Awareness Month)\, Miami University and Ohio University compe ted to see which campus could produce the most engagement with the survey. Using colorful graphics\, engaging social media posts\, helpful articles and a physical booth in a central location on campus\, Miami's team soundl y proved we are more 'cybersecure' than Ohio in our inaugural event in Oct ober 2023!
\n\nThis event is the latest in a long line of collaborat ive activities for the IT Communications team and the Information Security Office. We work closely together to keep the university community apprise d of security best practices\, incidents and awareness events designed to improve our cybersecurity posture. CyberMania is one such awareness campai gn undertaken by the Miami University ISO and the Ohio University ISO. The inaugural event showed the power of collaboration not only between higher education institutions\, but also internally between the communications g roup\, security professionals and our student employees.
