Tina Burnell unknowingly started her career in email marketing in 2005 by using her HTML web development skills to build a customized monthly email bulletin in Microsoft Outlook as a marketing coordinator in the tourism industry. She has honed and expanded upon these skills in the Office of Marketing and Brand Management at the University of Southern Maine (USM) since 2012 and evolved from an email coding role to content and project management for all email marketing efforts. Additionally, Tina is part of the team working to switch USM’s email service provider from TargetX to Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
