Description

In 2017, Dallas College (formerly Dallas County Community College District) began developing plans to tackle system wide accessibility concerns. After OCR notified the College of OCR complaints filed in 2018  that related to the same issues, the college expanded its task force to transform the challenges into opportunities and create a more inclusive educational environment for the community it serves.

Join us as the co-chairs of the accessibility committee share their insights, strategies, and hard-won lessons from this transformative journey. Discover how Dallas College not only addressed the complaints but also formalized robust accessibility guidelines for the entire institution.

After the session is over, we’ll continue the conversation on our #accessibility Slack channel. All HighEdWeb members are welcome to join the HighEdWeb Slack Workspace.
