Description

Have you ever asked yourself the question: "how do I make my processes more efficient but also accessible?" This question faces many offices at higher education institutions that may not know about resources available to them or just don't know where to get started when it comes to making their application processes, forms, etc. more accessible for our students and other customers. Our office took that first step recently and plan to never look back. What did we do, you may ask? We moved our forms from inaccessible PDFs to HTML forms, hosted on our website. The initial benefit was making our forms accessible, but that opened the door to other possibilities, like automating our form processing, streamlining large form packets, and overall, saving time and resources. Our next step is pushing toward our larger applications.

In this presentation, we will cover the basics of "why our office started the process of being more accessible in our content," "how we got started," and "what resources (campus-based and online) we used."
